3D Printable Arm Life Cast

Lately I have been experimenting with 3D scanning as an alterative to traditional life casting. I took the scan using my Revopoint range, cleaning it up in Zbrush. I designed it to key together using tabs and hold strongly with large magnets so it can be used as a core when casting silicone. The arm can be sculped traditionally or digitally. Using this with digital sculpting and 3d printing, a resin printed mother mold could be made to cast silicone in directly without using further mold making supplies.

The completed arm scan after much cleanup.

In order to use the arm for sculpting and casting, the hand was split into 3 sections so it could be used as a core to make a silicone creature glove. This is held together by magnets and keys in with tabs.
