Magic Wheel Chair Charity Builds
Magic Wheel Chair Is a wonderful charity that I have had the great honor to volunteer my skills for as apart of my time at Thorsson and Associates Workshop, I have personally been involved with 6 different builds spanning over the past year and a half. While these costumes have been quite the challenge, seeing the reactions from the children and their families make those late nights and tight deadlines all worth it. These are team efforts on incredibly tight deadlines. These projects are always a lot of fun because they are so collaborative, utilizing the skills of the entire crew as well as those who lend a helping hand. Working with the charity has brought me a new outlook on how I view my work. Being able to be a small part in bringing joy to the kids and their families. The entire Matell collab (i had no involvement with the he-man chair)
I had sculpted the Giant skulls and spines that make up the back bone of the chair. The Costume was buit by T&A Workshop
Matell had sent me toy files for battle cat which became heavily modified for cnc carving and printing. The headdress and staff where modeled by me in Maya and Zbrush.
The Headdress' eyes where designed to be made separately out of clear resin.
The Unicorn was designed to be cnc carved from foam, the Horn, Hooves and Stars were 3D printed in transparent Filament to allow them to glow.
Rose City Comic Con 2024 we had created a Wild Star the unicorn for Lilia to ride around the con.
At the Las Vegas Liscensing Expo we unveiled the Sonic the Hedgehog Race car Wheel Chair for Aiden.
A special thank you to the wonderful people at Sega who provided me with the un released game assets i used to modlify to create the files for the body of the car, wheels, dash and sonics shoes. The sonic plush was lovingly crafted by the talented Rachel
Comic Con 2024 we unveiled Solara's Beetle Juice chair. I was responsible for creating the 3d printable demons and helping carve the headstone.
The spiderbot was one of 2 wheelchair costumes i had helped out on for comic con 2023. For this i had helped to model the hands, feet as well as work on the dome which holds a tiny projector to give spider Bot its expressive faces.
